Our popular defensemen camp provides you with the unique blend of both European and North American concepts. You will benefit from detailed coaching instruction involved in playing this complex position. Vancouver Hockey School’s mandate to provide you with the highest quality of hockey instruction to all participants.
The Defenseman Camp is led by Stan Sibert. Stan is a former Slovakian professional hockey player who blends both European and North American styles of defensive play into on-ice sessions. His innovative drills are popular with students learning effective defensive zone positioning while generating offence from the backend. As Coach of the St Georges Saints CSSHL (Canadian School Sport Hockey League) Bantam team, Stan captured the league championship (2017-2018). Along with his junior and pro clientele, he is an on-ice skills coach for various minor hockey associations. Coach Sibert holds a Masters Degree in Coaching and BC Hockey High Performance Coach Certification.
Support instructors include University Coaches, US College players and current NHL draft picks. Players are placed in on-ice skill groups based on age, level of play, and ability.
