JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT CAMPS
The Junior Development Program is an intense curriculum for serious and elite players only. Designed and instructed by two of North America’s top skills coaches, Skating Coach Derek Popke (Toronto Maple Leafs 2009-2014) and former NHL’er Yogi Svejkovsky (WHL Skills Coach 2006-2017), this program focuses on isolation skating, game simulated power and speed, battle and complete, and individual skill development such as shooting, speacial fakes, dekes, passing, and small area games. Players are challenged both mentally and physically while learning small details to help further their game. Over 50 NHL draft picks have skated in this program in the past 10 years. Goalies are present at all sessions.
Player groupings are at the discretion of Vancouver Hockey School. Players must have played one full season of U18, Major Midget, or junior level hockey to qualify. No Exceptions.
Players skate 4-5x per week in order to achieve maximum benefit from the program. Please contact our office if you cannot make all weeks do to schedule conflicts.
